Dynamic range and digital. I see this discussion a lot.

This shot is “right out of the camera” – but it’s digital, so it’s really “right out of Adobe Lightroom” – everything is zero’d / default, and the curves are linear.

I’d probably edit this image a bit; maybe bring up the mid ground greens, or maybe do it as monochromatic. But as-is, this is exported as 800×800 pixels max, without sharpening the image for web publishing… so it’s pretty far from the original already.

But I think it holds up just fine for being “just digial”.
